SRC, INC., King & King Architects, and Marquardt Switches, in partnership with the CNY STEM Hub, are pleased to announce the 2018 CNY STEM Scholars Program. This scholarship program, now in it's 6th year, is open to graduating High School Seniors who will be majoring in select STEM fields. Students in the following counties may apply: Onondaga, Cayuga, Madison, Cortland, Oneida, Oswego and Tompkins.
This year's scholarship program will provide tuition support and a summer internship at the participating companies, pending business conditions. Five scholarships will be awarded, with a few focused on minority and female applicants. Scholarship applications for the 4-year scholarships are due February 28, 2018. Selections will made in April and students will be notified in May 2018.

Oneida Area Civic Chorale is seeking applicants for the Oneida Area Civic Chorale's Senior Scholarship. This scholarship is being offered to a local senior who has shown outstanding achievement in music, has participated in school and community performances and plans to continue musical study as a major or in extracurricular activities. Central New York Kennel Club, Inc is seeking to recognize high school students who are involved with dogs. They are particularly interested in young people who volunteer at shelters, Humane Societies, Veterinary Offices, are active in the 4H program, work at animal related businesses and/or have experience in showing, performance, conformation event, and training dogs. The Empire State Potato Grower's Inc. is awarding a scholarship for any senior pursuing college studies benefiting the agricultural industry. For a copy of the application please stop by the Guidance Office.

Applications are available for the Rick Lefevre Memorial Scholarship.  The candidate must be a senior who is a hockey player or figure skater who participated in the Rome Youth Hockey Association or the Rome Figure Skating Program at the Kennedy Arena.  If you qualify please stop by the Guidance Office for a copy of the scholarship application.

The Zonta Club of the Oneida Area has 2 awards.  The first one is the Young Women in Public Affairs Award, recognizing outstanding young women who have shown exemplary leadership skills and are committed to the greater cause of the public service.  This is open to any woman in grades 9-12.  The second award is the Jean Coon Humanitarian Award, given to a junior or senior for outstanding community service.  For an application please stop by the Guidance Office.

America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders, also sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, is offering more than $500,000 in scholarships to high school seniors and college students pursuing an ag-related field of study. Students can apply for a $1,500 scholarship now through February 1. Learn more at

Ned Carter Memorial Scholarship is offered by The Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York. They are awarding four $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors. Applicant must be related to a firefighter, be a firefighter or be an Explorer in a fire department or fire district that is currently a paid up member of the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York.
