Meet Mrs. Annicharico

Mrs. Annicharico

Greetings! My name is Emily Annicharico. I am a special education teacher and it is my passion to help students learn the skills they need to reach their personal goals. I grew up in a small town near Ithaca, NY, graduating from Dryden High School. I studied Sociology and Education at William Smith College, while completing the Teacher Education Program. Following, I went on to receive my Master’s of Science degree in Inclusive Special Education from Syracuse University. Go Orange! Throughout college and graduate school I played both French horn and trumpet in various capacities. My favorite experience was playing in the Syracuse Orange basketball pep band -- the Sour Sitrus Society.

I have taught grades 5-8, and I absolutely LOVE it! I had the pleasure of working at my alma mater, Dryden Middle School, before coming to Canastota. I live in Chittenango with my husband, daughters, dogs Princess Peach and Luigi, and cat Tigger. In my spare time, I enjoy logic puzzles, reading, sewing, spending time with my family, and Zumba. You might even see me doing Zumba before school in the hallways!
