Meet Mr. B. Dwyer

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my little section of the District Website.  I am born and raised right here in Canastota.  I graduated from Canastota in 1997.

I attended Roberts Weslyan College in Rochester, NY graduating with a Biology Educuation degree.  I attended SUNY Online System to attain a degree in Earth Science.  I earned a M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning with a concentraion in Science from SUNY Empire State College.

I have taught in several different districts.  First I started off teaching at a private Christian school in Rochester.  My wife and I then moved back to Central New York where I continued subbing here at Canastota.  The following year I got a teaching position at Bishop Ludden.  I then was offered a teaching job back here at Canastota teaching Earth Science.  After five glorious years, I was cut due to budget constraints.  Norwich was my next destination where I continued teaching Earth Science.  I successfully did that job for one year when I resigned to take a job much closer to home.  I was teaching 7th grade physical science in the Syracuse City School District housed at Grant Middle School.  After three years there, I came back home to Canastota to teach 7th grade physical science.

My wife Donielle and I have three daughters, Brooklyn, Isabella (Bella) and Kiley. We also have a black labradoodle named Zoey.

The most interesting fact about me is I am NOT the most interesting guy in the world, I ended up second in that race.  I however enjoy an array of outdoor activities from golf to fishing, hiking to sand castle building and anything in between.

My favorite books would be the Hunger Games series or the Daniel Brown books (DaVinci Code).  My three favorite movies are the Matrix, A Few Good Men, Rudy, and Braveheart (who is a distant relative, I believe).  My wife and I have NEVER missed an episode of Survivor.
