I grew up in Minoa NY with my parents and two sisters. When I was a senior in high school, I decided that I wanted to go into education to become a mathematics teacher. It was at Cortland University that I earned both my bachelor's degree and master's degree. I started my first teaching position at the age of 22 at Norwich City School District where I stayed for 10 years. I left Norwich to become a teacher here at Canastota to both shorten my commute to work and to be closer to my children. I really enjoy teaching students. Each year brings new people in my life and new experiences. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my children and husband. We enjoy swimming together in the summer, going to movies, and spending time with our family and friends.
